Hidden Hills California

Journey to Hidden Hills, a gated community and city that is located within California in Los Angeles county. Hidden Hills is located right next to Calabasas which is located within the San Fernando Valley and is quite well known for being the home to many celebrities and actors.

Hidden Hills is located near the Santa Monica Mountains within the southern part of the Simi Hills Transverse range. Originally, the community was designed and then developed during the 1950s by AE Hanson, who happened to be a very well known planned community developer and landscape architect within Southern California. Some of his earlier projects actually included Palos Verdes Estates as well as Rolling Hills and even the 1920s Harold Lloyd Estate, Beverly Hills Greenacres. Hidden Hills is a gated community that has takes up about 1.7 square miles which is all land. There is an elementary school which is publicly accessed at several gates to the community. Hidden Hills also has a summer camp for children, as well as annual parades, parties, carnivals, children’s and community theater programs, snow days, welcome wagons and during the summer, weekly community barbecues.

When you journey into Hidden Hills, you will notice that it is bordered by the greenbelt of the Open Space Preserve of Upper Las Virgenes Canyon and the nature reserve which is at the north. The Las Virgenes Canyon is a large park that has mountain biking trails, hiking, and equestrian trails that are miles long. Then travel south which is where a national landmark, which is the Leonis Adobe is located which has a history museum and gardens. This is located right across from the Alta California and El Camino Real of Las California’s eras, which is now just called Route 101. Hidden Hills was also the main setting for a very short sitcom on NBC that was titled Hidden Hills, that happened to air during 2002 and 2003.

It was during the census of 2000, there was a population of only 1900 people located within the city. However, it was shown during the census 2010, still had a population of under 1900. According to the race make up was Latino or Hispanic, Pacific Islander, Asian, Native American, African American, white, and some mixed races as well. It also showed that the citizens of Hidden Hill have an average income of around $200,000 yearly and there were not any families or households that fell anywhere near the poverty line. It was during the 2011 to 2012 that it was considered to be the richest area within the United States, which was followed by Chevy Chase, Maryland.
